I have 2 Double Yellow Headed Amazon Young Parrots for sale. The DNA sexed female is just under a year. The DNA sexed male is just over a year. They are lightly bonded and like each others company.
They were hand fed, but we have not handled them much since we purchased them as a future breeding pair. Nevertheless, they have been living in our livingroom where they get a lot of people time and some “out of the cage time” every day.
They are very sweet and intelligent. But as all Amazon parrots can be at about this age, they’ve begun to talk a lot! And can be loud when they both start gabbing at the same time. This becomes a problem for my service dog, and my grandson. Which is why we have to part with these wonderful birds.
Our loss is a gain to someone else.
We originally paid 12,000 for these birds as future breeders. We are willing to let them go as a business investment with both their individual cages (cages if you are local pick up only) for a rounded down 10,000
If you are wanting just one or the other AS A PET we are willing to let it go for 4500 (with cage if local pickup)
New pet owner must have experience with parrots. Even though these two darlings have been hand fed, it’s been a long time since they’ve been handled as a pet. They don’t bite, but will gently touch with their beak and tongue. The don’t step up. But will take food from your open hand and sometime allow you to stroke them. But they are no way a beginners bird.
