Vernon the Hahns Macaw

Male Hahns Macaw. 16 months old. Hatched 10/13/2021 from Sugarcreek Bird Farm and handfed. Vernon is VERY LOVED. He is in perfect health. Vernon was the Official SpokesBird for a well know Avian company. Due to my new employment, Vernon is not getting the out-of-cage time he deserves. He is out now between 5-7pm and it just breaks my heart. He was used to being out a whole lot more before the new employment. He is young and in that ornery stage of nipping for a Hahns. He is super friendly otherwise. His nips don't actually hurt, but more startles. He is on a premium diet of raw mash, sprouted seed/beans, a dry mix of multiple seed mixes from and Tops and China Prairie, dried flower buds, dried meal worms. His treats are unshelled pine nuts, shelled pili nuts, unsalted pistachios, star of anise, and millet. Vernon was wing clipped one time at a few weeks old for his protection from injury, but we have not clipped him again, nor would we ever. He is extremely cute and vocal in the shower. He gives lots of kisses on your cheek with cute kissy noises.


He says "whatcha you doing?" "step up". "Oh. Hi". "Hello" and learns quickly. He has two big cages from A&E, a VERY large java wood perch stand and a VERY large feeding/play perch. Both on wheels. He has a heat pad and perch for his cage. MULTIPLE extras items!! He comes with all his vet records and records from breeder. He is banded. If you are interested in any of these items he has, we can negotiate a price for those. Vernon is extremely loved, that is why I am trying to find a new home for him so he can get all the loving he desires and not be traumatized by a new home in the middle of his life instead of now. I am not willing to ship him.
