- Ruppell Poicephalus babies newly weaned. One baby (female, surgically sexed and tattood by Dr. Scott McDonald) remains available at this time. These are super rare in the US!!! Females have that amazing blue you see in the pics (on the abdomen and back), along with some yellow on wing and a charcoal body and red eyes. Adult males do not have the blue, though the father does have some soft blue feathering on the abdomen. Young have more yellow and all have some blue ... colors change with adult moult.
These birds are very quiet and would be appropriate for apartments/condos. These babies are hand raised, super friendly, and VERY sweet. Will make a great pet!!!! $950.00 weaned.
