- After losing my companion of 41 years, a 42-year-old green-cheek Amazon, I would like very much to find a new parrot to spoil. Gender is not important, but lack of biting is very important. Tootsie was a wild caught and thought biting was her duty. A young (but not baby) bird is all right, but an older adult is also most acceptable. I have a large cage, although I always allowed her free flight, as well as perches. Because there are so many wonderful Amazons, I am not necessarily looking for a green cheek.
