Greater Vasa Parrot- Four Year Old Female
Vasa Parrots are from Madagascar. It is an uncommon species in the US and in high demand due to their intelligence and fantastic pet potential. Interested buyers should do some reading on them as they have some interesting behaviors especially during the breeding season. Females loose feathers on the top of their head when they come otni breeding condition as this one has. No worries they grow back when the breeding season is over.
This bird was hand-fed but the owner lost interest and didn't play with it, The bird is very curious and will come up to the front of the cage and lick my finger through the cage bars. Not aggressive but it moves away from my hand when i offer it. I think with time and patients this bird will make a great pet. It would also make a good breeder. Price is $4000.00.
