For sale: Blue and Gold Macaw, 16 years old, owned by our family since she was 4 months old from the macaw breeder. We are the first, original, and only owners of her. She has laid 2 eggs this calendar year 2017, for the first time in her life. We had her vet checked after the second and last egg, and the vet said there was no problem and all seems well. We need to rehome her due to major life and health changes in our family. Our home is a non-smoking home. She is named “Koae”. Pronounced “Koh-EEE” , her name means “tropical bird” in Hawaiian. She is partial to women. She eats a mixed seed diet. We hope that she can be a pet to another family and give the enjoyment that we have had with her. She will come with her original, extra large King’s cage. The cage is a King’s #406 with 1 inch bar spacing and European Napoleon style. The cage is 45 3/8” wide x 29” deep x 72” high, powder coated baked enamel, beige in color, on wheels, and can be taken apart if necessary.
