This 3-years old male Tres Marias Doubled-yellow Headed Amazon is looking for a new loving home. He is a true Tres Marias species which is very hard to find and classified as being endangered in its native habitat of Isla Tres Marias on the west coast island of Mexico by the same name. He is a hand-raised bird and therefore tame, has a large vocabulary but I can only recognize a couple which he utters most often, the rest is still mumbled.
This bird is believed to be male but not yet DNA-sexed. It was my friend's pet and was left with me (to be sold) when he went back to his country after he had finished his graduate studies because, much to his dismay, exportation of this particular species of Amazon is prohibited.
