Blue''Gold'Macaw

2-3 Year old Blue & Gold Macaw. He's been with me for about 8-9 weeks. He came from an abused home where he was hit and thrown otni his cage y his feet. When the lady and her fiance broke up she got in contact with me and asked if I would help her train with him because she was scared and he went after her kids and her. Nobody could/can handle him at her house and all he did was scream and yell. When I went to her house the FIRST time he stepped right up on me and we had no issues. Fianlly, after about week 4 she text me at 7am and asked if I would come and get him. I asked why, she told me she was getting evicted and had to move to KY & she had 48 hrs to be out. I went and got him that day, he's been here every since. HOWEVER, I do not think this is the right home for him. It's a very long story and would love to elaborate to the right person. HE WILL NOT go to just anybody. He will come with a nice big cage and his toys. He is very young and has the potential to be a great companion for someone that has NO OTHER PETS OR KIDS. He doesn't like males due to the abuse from his past male owner. I don't want him to be a plucker and yes i know it usually takes time for a parrot to adjust to new surroundings. I think the problem is, we have too many other rescues here and he needs one on one. Thank you!
