Blue Throat Macaws

Reducing our aviary. This pair of Blue Throat macaws have been co-habitating for several years and are about 15 years old. We placed a nest box last fall and Fred took to making sawdust out of the wood blocks and prepared the nest nicely. Unfortunately Wilma didn't follow through with her end. She is now making the tell tale head bobbing so I suspect she'll be thinking the family lifestyle soon. The extra large $1200 Big Kahuna divided cage is also for sale along with the custom nest box for an additional $600.



Fred and Wilma are not what I would call hand tame as in Pet tame but can be handled. I'm able to hold either but my wife is not. Typical clutches consist of 2-3 eggs and birds sell for $2200-2500 each. Should go to experienced large bird owners.
