- DNA'd female Yellow-naped amazon (Amazona auropalliata) - 3 available. Lovingly raised inside my home with lots of interaction, dogs and all the daily hustle and bustle noises. Will be fully fledged and expert at flying in my outdoor aviary. I train to use a water bottle, as well as bowls of water. Weaning on sprouts, fresh veggies and fruit, millet, seed mix and pellets. This species of Amazons usually starts talking before being weaned - of course talking can't be guaranteed but, Yellow-nape amazons are one of the best when they do. They do have a nightly discussion around feeding time - I don't understand Yellow-naped but suspect they are complaining about me. Very interactive and are trained to step up. They fly to me! Raised using closed aviary concept. Fledging with siblings takes place in our new outdoor aviary. A 50% deposit will hold chick until weaned and fully fledged.
